Last night I was surprised to see that the Tallahassee, FL, National Weather Service admitted that the returns on the radar were "military chaff", not rain. This area got bombarded on Monday and yesterday. See the second paragraph below.

Tallahassee Florida, 3-09-2011.. Around 6:30 on.
What is this noise??? We thought for sure it was a Tornado, But it never changed it's position, and it lasted for well over 20 minutes or so... It was Soooo Loud, and it was shaking the house and the ground.
I called 911, They said they didnt know what it was, But that there were MANY calls coming in about the noise. They said they were sending patrols out to check it out...
There was a Flash of light that came from the same direction of the noise, then the noise just faded away. It was a relief obviously, I still thought it may have been a Tornado, But it also wasn't making any sense to me. We even put the kids in the bathtub and put a mattress over them just in case.
I called the News Station also, They told me it wasn't a Tornado, And that the police had told them to tell people it was an airplane revving it's engine at the airport. I live 4 miles from the airport, And I have lived here for 20 years, I have never heard an An airplane rev its engine at the airport, that was just insanity.
So when the noise was over, we drove down to the airport and stopped at a gas station nearby, They said they didnt hear anything. So it was not coming from that direction!
AND, on the 11 o'clock news that night, the weather man made a comment about all the calls that had come in about the noise, He said, Dont worry, It wasn't a Tornado, and it was confirmed that it WASN'T an Airplane, ALL You were hearing was THUNDER!!!..
If anyone has ever heard Thunder that was anything like that, Please let me know. It is just so Strange to me that the Stories kept changing.. Like we are stupid or something and dont know what Thunder sounds like.
Anyway, I Dont Know What it was.. But if you have any clue at all, Please do tell


Also, Very strange how after the Flash of light there was no thunder, the noise actually stopped.
Oh, and the NASA Space shuttle Discovery had already landed in south Florida about 5 hours earlier that day. It wouldn't have hovered for 20 minutes anyway, But just saying.
I had to load this video in a lesser format so that it would upload... If i can find out how to do a higher quality I will.

OK, first of all I had no idea this video was going to be this popular. Pretty exciting stuff. Anyways, there's alot of arguing on here about sound in space. Obviously sound needs a medium to pass through, to vibrate through so that it can carry the sound waves. Space has no air, and therefore cannot project sound in audible wave form. As it says in the description, these sounds are not from satellites zooming around the earth with a normal microphone. Sohpisticated instruments can detect the different sonic vibrations going on in the planet GENERALLY. So what you are hearing is not what it would be like if you just stuck an ear out the window of a space ship. First of all you would probably either die or go deaf in that ear for the rest of your life because of the pressure of the vaccum. What the remote sensors on the sattellite are doing is analyzing different radio frequencies coming off the surface of the earth and converting it into audible soundwaves for you and I to hear. So you're not hearing whales, you're not hearing cars or even wind. You're merely hearing the general frequencies of the Earth in an audible format.

Summary:    Just went out back to walk dogs with the back porch lights out. Then saw formation

I had taken our dogs outside to walk them and left the back porch light out. Looked up and saw the formation, it caught my eye because the objects were so bright, by the time I took dogs back in then got our camera, I took 3 pictures which I would like someone to analyze them.

Was a straight formation at first 5 separate objects or 1 huge one, then they made kind of a wavy formation, then separated into their own hoovering space.

This went on for at least 45 minutes, and I heard a helicopter but never saw it, and of course looking in the other direction we can see aircraft that are going to DFW airport.

Whatever these objects are they seem to come out at least twice a week, and anyone that lives in the shalecreek housing addition as we do can clearly see them, they do not seem to worry about being seen, considering how close we are to an air base.

[Please note that the witness wishes for someone to analyze the photos included in this report.  Might I suggest that if the author of the photos can not tell much from looking at the photos shown in this report, it is very doubtful that anyone else can either.

My suggestion to people who attempt to take photos of UFOs (unidentified flying objects), is to use a camera that will give you something besides a thumbnail sized photo.

If you want your photos analyzed, use a digital camera that can be set to take high resolution photos.  Attach high resolution photos to your submitted report. 

Better still, if you have a 35 mm camera, have the film developed.  A photo scanned at high resolution is quite acceptable.  If you have the original film, that is even better. Thanks. - SW]
