Last weekend I took a trip to St. Augustine, Florida. It took about three hours to get there from the West Coast. We visited some of the more historic monuments during the day, including one of the oldest Forts built by the Spanish after Ponce de Leon discovered the Florida "Paradise" and the Old Lighthouse.

Several science policy experts say the former House speaker's ideas are based in mainstream science. But somehow, Gingrich manages to make them sound way out there, taking them first a small step and then a giant leap further than where other politicians have gone.
Gingrich's promise that "by the end of my second term we will have the first permanent base on the moon" got amped up in a recent debate in Florida, which lost thousands of jobs with the end of the space shuttle program. By then, the lunar base had become a colony and even a potential state, and his moon ideas were ridiculed by rival Mitt Romney.
Returning to the moon and building an outpost there is not new. Until three years ago, it was U.S. policy and billions of dollars were spent on that idea.
Staying on the moon dates at least to 1969, when a government committee recommended that NASA first build a winged, reusable space shuttle followed by a space station and then a moon outpost. In 1989, President George H.W. Bush proposed going to the moon and staying there.
Sixteen years later, in 2005, his son, President George W. Bush, proposed a similar lunar outpost, phased out the space shuttle program and spent more than $9 billion designing a return to the moon program.
George Washington University space policy director Scott Pace, who was NASA's associate administrator in the second Bush administration and is a Romney supporter, said the 2020 lunar base date Gingrich mentioned was feasible when it was proposed in 2005.
But it is no longer, felled by funding cuts and President Barack Obama's decision to cancel the program. Pace said it would be hard to figure out when NASA could get back to the moon, but that such a return is doable.
What kept killing return-to-the moon plans were the costs, starting in 1969. The proposal died 20 years later when the price tag was released: more than $700 billion in current dollars. The second President Bush's plans started running into problems due to insufficient funding. After a special commission said those plans were not sustainable, Obama cancelled the return-to-the-moon program. Instead, he ordered NASA to aim astronauts toward an asteroid and eventually Mars, something many space experts say is even more ambitious.
"Some of you may like it and you may dislike it, but I gave the boldest explanation of going into space since John F. Kennedy in 1961," Gingrich said this week in Florida. "I believe in an America of big ideas and big solutions. I believe if we unleash the American people we will rebuild the American dream."
In Florida, nearly all the Republican presidential candidates promoted private companies sending astronauts into space. Several companies are building private spaceships. Commercial space companies taking over the job of getting Americans into low Earth orbit is a cornerstone of the Obama space plan. But, again, money has been an issue.
For example, NASA received $406 million in its current budget for private space programs. Obama had asked Congress for $805 million.
Neal Lane, former head of the National Science Foundation and White House science adviser during the Clinton administration, said Gingrich's proposals aren't crazy, although he may disagree with some of them. Gingrich's ideas and actions are "very pro-science," said Lane, who credited Gingrich with protecting federal science research from budget cuts in the 1990s.
"He's on the edge of mainstream thinking about big science. Except for the idea of establishing a colony on the moon, it's not over the edge," added Syracuse University science policy professor Henry Lambright.

Experts say Gingrich moon base dreams not lunacy

above the store. there was fire coming out the bottom of the entire ring like a rocket, but no smoke, no trail. the center appeared hollow. it moved slowly across the sky towards the west.

2 UFOs chased by a helicopter
Im using my smartphone so please forgive my grammer. On 1/19/12 around 7:30 to 8pm I heard a loud noise in my house it sounded like a low flying helicopter. I went outside and stood im my front yard and looked to the east (tord Tulsa) an observed 2 objects with red lights being followed by a helicopter. They were flying low but could not make out a shape of the 2 objects i could only see red lights. Im thinking the red lights may have been cabin lights they were not navigation lights. It couldve been aircraft flying in blackouts
I can only hear the helicopter which was behind the 2 aircraft about a quarter mile at the most the helicopters navigation lights were on. They were flying so low i know someone else had to see them not to mention the noise the helicopter gave off.

Green colored meteorite falls vertically then orange orb appears and flies out of view.
My wife and I walked outside to walk our dog. We walked over to our fence facing due north. We were looking in the sky and to the north-northeast a very bright green "meteorite" was falling vertically to the ground. It is a path that was inside our atmosphere and not just skirting it. It left a burn line from about 30 degrees in elevation to about 15 degrees in elevational view. After it burned out, about 4 seconds later an orange orb lit up and just hovered there. It appeared about 5 degrees below where the meteor stopped being visual. It then began heading to the south, just glowing orange at first, then it developed a pulse, then mimicked airplane lights as it flew out of sight due to the forest across the road. This happened at 11:06 pm. The skies were clear and there was no moon in the sky. There was no sound involved with the sighting. I have since purchased a night vision camcorder. I could not believe we were seeing another one so soon after the last one I reported just yesterday to this site.

15 amber lights in linear trajectory over Kendall, FL
I went outside to smoke a cigarette after dinner and saw what I could best describe as "ember" lights in the sky. Very similar to the color of when you blow on a camp fire. These lights were slow moving in a linear fashion. There was no sound, and they were traveling WNW. After the first appeared, I initially mistook it for a standard plane, however there were no running lights, or no flashing blue/red lights, just the solid ember light. They were emitting their own light and a VAGUE outline of a equilateral triangle could be mad out, however it was a bit obscured. The odd part was that all air traffic was VERY distant, and these lights were moving linear. I counted 15 in total, however there may have been more before I stepped outside. They had absolutely no sound and no ill effects on the surroundings. After the lights, there was a fast moving jet (possibly military) that followed their exact path. I asked my girlfriend to step out when I saw them. Neither of us have EVER seen anything like it before. I lost sight of the crafts when they passed over our apartment complex. Roughly 15 minutes after the fast mover, all air traffic resumed as normal.
Note: the time listed is within 10 minutes of actual viewing time.

Triangle shaped craft 100ft above car.
I am reporting this for my daughters boyfriend. He was exiting from a park he had been at with some friends, before pulling out onto the main road he noticed a bright light off in the distance (NW). He told me that he thought it was just a helicopter and didnt think much of it, until in a instant, the craft was right above him as he was driving down the road (heading E), at that moment he observed that the craft was triangler in shape and had three bright white lights at all three corners with one red light that was blinking in the middle towards the back of the craft inbetween two of the bright white lights, after observing the craft it proceeded off to the East.

Redish-orange sphere to close for comfort.
It was 10:40pm, the dog wanted to go out, as I opened the patio door which faces West, comeing over the top of the house from the East, a bright redish-orange orb, sphere, ball shape, about 8-9 inches in diameter with a tracer tail "stopped" 22 feet in front of me at around 7.5 feet above the ground and then blinked out. It really scared me! I slammed the door shut and went running for my husband, I have no idea what it was, but it was to close for comfort. Needless to say, he had to let the dog back in.

Hit & Run: Back with a few brief … whatevers.

Hello, folks. Green Light on the blog for a day, anyway. It has been tough to think into things enough to feel worthy of placing anything out here in front of you, but I'll give this a try. Caveat emptor as to whether any of this makes sense. If not, hopefully it will at least be amusing.
The first bit of this is from DATA-NET. I dried up on this newsletter circa the early 1970s, not because the SITU collection ran out of them, but because for about two years there weren't many good cases to report --- and so the blog drifted into other things. Since D-N is easy to page through during "distracted" times, I recently ploughed on and found a few items in early 1973. I'll give you the ho-hum ones first and then the one which I think has more to it.
1]. York, ND. August 27, 1972. Multiple witnesses saw a light moving back and forth like a pendulum in the sky. It was bright red, changed to whitish-green, and vanished. An hour later it, or something like it, appeared again as a bright red light, staying red until it disappeared.
So far, essentially nothing here. A few days later, the lady of the farm was out swathing the fields of durum, and came across a bald spot in the middle of the crop. The bald spot was circular [12' in diameter] and the farming family knew perfectly well that it had not been there before. The bald spot was particularly odd for any area which had been continuously cultivated in the past, as it showed no sign of scorching nor digging and earth-moving; it was simply bald, and looked as if nothing had ever grown there. [Actually I lied earlier, folks, I don't consider this one a Ho-Hum case at all]. On the top of the bald spot, merely scattered about [i.e. not embedded nor in any way impacted in the soil] were a bunch of odd rocks. These things were like furnace slag, clinkers, actually airily light like volcanic scoria. They were certainly not "local". None of these things were even slightly "buried" and so obviously "landed"/scattered there recently, though without any force. There's where our mystery remains, friends. One should only add, that this seems to be another in a couple dozen or so cases that I have seen, where mystery "slag" or scoria-like rocks remain behind. No one has a clue about this. One desperate attempt at guesswork somewhere in the UFO literature wondered whether the advanced technology of the propulsion systems drew energy from chemical bonds in crystalline matter, or whatever, and that any minerals might do, and when "done", the detritus was discarded as slag. Don't ask me for the source of that "explanation"; I've forgotten it. If you want to claim that you thought of it, you'll probably get away with it, as most of us UFOlogists are so old by now, the guy who said it is probably "on the other side".
On to a couple of other less spectacular things but which are probably good bits of the database:
2]. Novi, MI. August 3, 1972. Multiple witnesses immediately reported their sighting to local police. The first witness heard a "peculiar" noise like humming or a drone in the air, which directed her attention. It was an oval-shaped object with white lights ringing it. Others were called out to see. Shortly later three bright lights appeared in the sky, and one of them suddenly shot off rapidly to the horizon. Then another object appeared, very much like the light-ringed disk. This one flew directly over the house. [at some height, however, so this can't be classed as a CE1]. Then, while the original witness was phoning the police, the others saw a huge white light travel across the entire sky, west-to-east. Then it stopped suddenly, made a right-angle turn, and flew off to the north. The police shortly arrived, interviewed the witnesses, and found them credible people, and their stories coherent within themselves and between one another. That's a pretty good Lights-and Objects case to add to our files.
3]. Georgetown, CA. August 6, 1972. Seven witnesses reported multiple lighted objects. They were apparently luminous and either discoid or rectangular in shape --- the witnesses insisted in using the word "oblong", and UFOlogists have known that to be used by witnesses in both ways. Sometimes the objects arrayed themselves horizontally and sometimes vertically. Beams of light, like searchlights, shown down from them. The beam colors were green, white, or yellow. [sorry you modernists, no blue beams]. Sometimes the searchlights were so bright as to light up the entire meadow. Occasionally, the objects seemed surrounded by a mist. The objects came over slowly, hovered, and then shot off rapidly to the East. Sometimes a small humming sound was heard. Behaving according to the Law of the Times, these things showed up at about 1:30am and 4am. Lots of witnesses; just enough strangeness.
4]. West Palm Beach, Fl. September 14, 1972. Perhaps dozens of people saw sky acrobatics from as many as eleven objects and lights. Objects pulsated red, yellow, white, green, and blue. So far one might say: unusual atmospheric conditions causing spectacular color diffractions for stars near the horizon [I have seen such an event in Kalamazoo all around the low horizon]. BUT... Objects were said to rapidly move about, flipping and whirling. They seemed to be actual objects not entirely illuminated but rather flashing their colored lights through, possibly, portholes. "When they accelerated they first turned like a ring and then the whitish color would turn yellowish and then all the lights would go on". When they rose, a red tail appeared at one end of a disk shape. Local Air Traffic Control said they had no radar contact but did see them. They said that they thought they were stars.
Later, another report came in of a cigar-shaped illuminated object. [there's a lot of confusion in this business about the connection, even datewise, between these two things]. The USAF made a statement on this that they thought that it was Venus. Or maybe a "weather phenomenon". This time local radars did track the object. A fighter pilot went up and said he thought what he saw was Venus. NORAD itself apparently was willing to approve the scramble. An Eastern Airlines pilot, however, said that he'd never seen anything like it. Nevertheless, the local USAF spokesman said it WAS Venus. The determining factor he said was that those radars that thought they saw the thing were only "height-finding radars" and not "search radars". If the latter it would have been a different story, he said. Later he was informed that Palm Beach International airport had ONLY "search radars". Whoops. Further research found that Miami International also had the thing on its own "search radar". The last military comment was: "This does put a new light on the situation." And silence again fell.
Re-reading those cases, they're better than I originally felt. Pretty good actually.
The last case for that DATA-NET was an older one: El Infiernillo Observatory, Chilean Andes. May 17, 1967. This is a photographic case and a blow-up of one of the three photos is above. The larger light is the one of interest, and the smaller one is from a second observatory, El Roble. You can tell from this that the bigger light is below the mountain chain peaks [as El Roble is significantly higher].
The three photos of May 17 were sort of a culmination of a series of odd lights [termed by observatory personnel FPE, Fenomeno por explicar, and logged as such; FPE means "phenomenon requiring an explanation"]. A few such events had been appearing since October of 1967. All of these things seemed about the relative size and brightness of "stars" of magnitude zero to one --- i.e. they would be the brightest stars in the sky, had they been in the sky. They did move but mostly hovered in one spot. The astronomers added that they appeared to have "luminous rings of Fresnel diffraction".
The observatory is a professional facility connected to the University of Chile, and information about the incidents came directly from a university spokesperson. These observations, whether an unknown natural phenomenon or something else remain mysteries.
So, leaving that there, let's go on to something that I really know nothing about.
Some of you will have heard that recently particle physicists have created conditions wherein an event took place but was not seeable by any of the instruments. This event was microcosmic but apparently true, as the predecessors and the resultants of the event could be detected, even though the event itself was not. Many persons are profoundly puzzled by this, but, foolishly, I am not [particularly].
Why? Because I've bought into the extra dimensions of the physical force world long ago, and the fact that "things" can vanish in one location and reappear in another without going through the intervening three-space. Electrons shifting orbits do this every time. So, how??
It has to do, of course, with these "superstring" dimensions or arenas of force relations or whatever they will turn out to be. Whatever their nature, they form a complex web of interactions "beneath" our ordinary spacetime reality, and those deep interactions "project" their effects onto our threespace. Really? How?
Well, the question asks too much, but a crude diagram by me might give us just a small chance of relating to what's going on. Frontier thinking in particle science has abandoned "commonsense" ways of seeing reality and now considers the three dimensions of our observable space essentially "empty", until "force" is projected upon it. Space sits there as an empty "canvas" waiting for the superstring dimensional force relations "below" to project upon and manifest forces and mass [in this view just another form of force manifestation]. Material particles are just specific projections to a spatial coordinate where they manifest as a point location of force. The only reason that we think these "points" have size is that they have force associated with them, which produces a distance-of-integrity within which it is difficult to encroach without tremendous energies. "Size" therefore is an illusion. 
Size is doubly an illusion when uncounted numbers of the force-point projections associate together to form macroscopic objects. The entire "object" is composed of points of no "material extent" bound together by the character of the force projections involved with these zero-extension particles. We are not only mainly empty space as we were taught when we learned about the distance that our electrons orbit from their atomic nuclei, but in a sense we have no absolute material extension at all. A bizarre universe which takes some meditation to come to grips with. But what does this have to do with those guys who made something happen that you couldn't see?
Let's try my diagram again. The previous comments and the diagram are saying that the real primary causal "happenings" in reality are taking place "down there" in the Dimensions Beneath the World. If meddlesome scientists can get the trick right, the Dimensions Beneath the World will still do their work of force-interactions and subsequent production of a new happening "down there", but not necessarily project that happening onto our familiar spacetime. In other words "It happened, but we couldn't see it". 
Could these guys have found a way, no matter how minute to begin with, to block whatever the transmission or projection mechanism is from the Underworld to the Spacetime "surface"? They must be doing something like this or how else did they facilitate an event [which must take place "down there"] and yet not allow it to manifest "up here"? Somehow the "path" to the dimensions of Space was blocked.
That's interesting enough to me, but I find that when one finds that one can manipulate a natural mechanism one way, it usually means that one can also manipulate it the other. In this recent experiment, we "blocked" a physical event from tunneling up its ... "portal?" ... into Spacetime. Might we not then be able to facilitate some physical array to "vanish" in place "down" such a portal? And, since the integrity of the true "thing" exists still in the microworld dimensions beneath, might one not be able to manipulate where its integrity would be re-projected to? That is: vanish here... re-appear there. Is the Portal Technology hinted at by the recent "curiosity" physics experiment? If so, projections coming from there to here might manifest through such tunnels or portals, manifesting force through small areas of regular space. Maybe....
At El Infiernillo, the astronomers said that the light manifestations exhibited Fresnel diffraction. Fresnel diffraction.... an effect caused by a light source projecting through a narrow gap or tunnel opening. .... Fresnel diffraction .... narrow tunnel projecting ... nah, can't mean anything ... can it??

The astronauts living on the International Space Station (ISS) are gearing up for a milestone event in February — the first visit of a commercial spaceship to the orbiting outpost.
The private spaceflight company SpaceX plans to launch its unmanned Dragon capsule to orbit Feb. 7 atop the firm's Falcon 9 booster from Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in Florida. The capsule will carry a load of food, clothing and other supplies for the six-man crew of the space station.
"We're excited about that," NASA astronaut Don Pettit told SPACE.com in an interview Wednesday (Jan. 4) from the station. "Anytime you have a visiting vehicle coming by, that's an exciting day."

Spectacular new images of a gigantic crater on the moon were captured recently by a low-skimming NASA satellite.
In November 2011, the space agency's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) spacecraft passed over the moon's Aristarchus crater, which spans 25 miles (40 km) and sinks more than 2 miles (3.5 km) deep. Photos and video of the crater from LRO's sweep were released Dec. 25.
The huge and highly reflective Aristarchus is easily visible with the naked eye. But the details shown in the new photos are a special treat from an extremely low flyover by LRO.

Last night my wife and I went to bed shortly before 10 PM. At 10, my wife got up and went to the window of our upstairs bedroom. She observed a glowing object in the southern sky. It faded out. I got up and went to the window and a second object appeared. It was about 40 degrees above the horizon, and it appeared to be moving from north to south. It was much larger than a star and its surface was covered with twinkling red/yellow/orange lights. It had an irregular outline. We watched this object for a couple of minutes, and then it also faded out. A third object then appeared. I got the camera and started getting dress to go on the downstairs south patio. The third light faded, and a fourth appeared. I went on the patio and took a nice picture of this object shortly before it faded.
We are near Holloman AFB, and we have seen the strings of orange flares which the Air Force uses. These were distinctly different. The picture shows two objects one above the other. They are connected by a fuzzy irregular tubular structure. I concede that the lower object could be a burning smoking fragment sloughed off of a main flare, but, if so, then it is like no flare that I have ever seen before. Also, these were close enough and bright enough that we should have seen the supporting parachute. I hope to see them again.
The camera is a Panasonic DMC-ZS3 in the Sports Scene Mode and 12X zoom.

My girlfriend and I were on our way to visit family Christmas morning. I was driving ? she was the passenger, and we were traveling South East on Route 23 through Valley Forge National Park. As we approached the intersection near the park's Visitor Center, I looked up (towards the Visitor Center and over the outer line defense of the park) and saw a shiny, reflective, almost chrome looking object in the sky. It was spherical, maybe egg-shaped and appeared to be stationary in the sky. It looked a little like an old bubble-style helicopter fuselage...but not. I asked my girlfriend jokingly if she wanted to bet if the object was an aircraft or a UFO. We watched the object for a few seconds. I had to keep an eye on the road since I was on a curving hill coming up on an intersection, but my girlfriend was watching the object while fumbling for her camera phone. Small tree tops obstructed my view for less than a second, and then the object was completely gone. I think it shot off in a North Western direction, but I cannot be sure. It was there one second and completely gone the next. My girlfriend was not able to get a shot off with her camera phone before the object took off/vanished. It should be noted that this sighting took place less than 2 miles from a Lockheed Martin facility.

I was out on my front porch with my sister and it faces the north and east. I saw what at first assumed was a plane because i see them all of the time. I immediately noticed the object was a bright orange color that has no definite shape other than being smallish and round-oval. as soon as i noticed the color of the object, i then saw another similar object come into view right behind the first one. it all happened pretty quick, but i was saying to my sister as I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is I'm seeing, Kate, what the heck are those things? As I'm saying that another identical object comes into view behind the first two. Then another, then another, totaling 7 of these identical orange lights flying in a line, one after the next, moving in the direction of West to East. It seemed each one came out of nowhere to join the line. They made no sound as they moved across the sky in line formation, they didn't change colors or anything like that, they stayed orange. They were approximately 10-20 feet between each one. They flew across the sky and one by one disappeared as they flew up to what seemed like a higher altitude. We had called our whole family out to witness these lights and not one person could come up with an idea for what we saw. It was pretty incredible, strange and scary all at the same time. I think we will definitely remember this Christmas in my family!

At approximately 10:30 PM on 12-25-11 my son came running into the family room urging my wife and I to look out the back of our house which faces West. We looked out and saw innumerable lights off in the distance moving from North to South along a relatively straight path. We proceeded out onto the deck and continued to observe these lights. As they moved to the South, they then appeared to head more West and appeared to climb and then disappear rather rapidly one by one. As we looked to the North, more lights continued to appear. This was a constant stream that we saw for at least 10 minutes, lights disappearing into the sky to the South and West and more lights appearing from the North. I would estimate that several hundred of these objects passed by during this time all taking the same path before turning to the West and up into the sky and disappearing. I had grabbed my cell phone on the way out to the deck and tried to record the objects but the quality is not great. In fact, some of the objects which I could see with the naked eye did not appear on the camera screen while others did. I am attaching the video clip. There are some Christmas lights from a few nearby houses along the bottom of the screen, not to be confused with the moving lights which appear much smaller. We could not make out any sound from these objects.

Five of us family members went outside for a smoke during our Christmas day dinner when one of us noticed what only can be desribed as a spherical candle flame moving silently across the sky. It was maybe the size of a car?, and close but moving slowly and no light change. It hovered briefly then continued. We saw it from a couple different angles as it moved and my son and nephew who are in their 20's said it looked like a mini hot air balloon, but we all concurred that was not the case as it moved in a straight line except for the occassional hovering. After it stopped and hovered for a second time it went in a 90* turn from a hover-stop and that's when we all looked at each other and really knew that was a UFO! I personally have had other encounters, but 2 of the others were totally non-believers of anything out of the ordinary and they were blown away by this. After it took off then it was gone and we went inside.

At approximately 8:30 to 8:40 p.m. on Dec. 25, 2011, I was standing and looking out at the sky from my ground floor apartment patio, talking on the phone. I saw a light grey, roundish, filmy substance moving toward me from the southeast, traveling northwesterly. The substance appeared to be unsolid - possibly gaseous. I had absolutely no idea what it could be as I had never seen anything like that before in my life. It grew larger as it approached and then took the shape of a craft. It was an oblong, six-sided craft with rounded ends. I saw a dull light grey and metallic-looking craft - my husband saw gray and black. It moved slowly, perhaps no more than 20 mph and no less than 10 mph. It moved very smoothly and as it continued to approach I noticed two appendages protruding from the closest end to me. They appeared to be something like very long antenas pointed downward. I was describing what I saw to the person I was talking to on the phone. Then I yelled for my husband to come out and he saw it as well. The craft moved steadily and was completely silent. There were no exterior lights. The end farthest from me had windows and they seemed to contain one small golden light in each window. I think there were 4-6 windows. The craft flew over the parking lot and was approximately 300-500 ft. in altitude and approximately 300 ft. away from me at the closest point. It was hard to tell how high it was or how far away but it was very, very close. My husband said he wished he would have had a flashlight to shine on it because it probably would have reflected. My husband saw geometric shapes on the outside bottom of the craft. This was not writing, but black, wide lines that appeared to be more for functionality. My husband ran into the apartment and out the front door and out through the back parking lot to watch it. I went out the front door straight to the west. The craft soon went back to the original shape of a roundish, unsolid object. I saw the craft for about 30 seconds - my husband saw it for about 10 seconds. During and after the sighting I felt very peaceful and loving. During the sighting I was also very excited and all I could say was, "Oh my God!", over and over again. This sighting was in Chandler, AZ.

At midnight on Christmas, 12/25/2011, my son and I decided to take our dog for a walk. We were walking south in the 13000 block of Roe in Leawood, KS. when we spotted two amber/orange lights approaching approx 30 degrees in the sky, as if they were from an aircraft. We thought the color was odd for an approaching aircraft. The lights were fairly close together and horizontal from one another. They then grew a little further apart and then became vertical in their positioning with one another, as if the craft was in a 90 degree banking position. We thought that wasn't possible if it was an aircraft. The lights then moved next to one another and stopped and hovered for about 15 seconds. At this point they were about 30 degrees off the horizon and made no sound. It was eerily quiet. We were stopped in our tracks in awe wondering what in the world we were experiencing!! It was definately not an airplane! Initially we thought it was one craft with two lights, but now we believe the lights are on two separate craft. At this time of night there is no traffic on the street at all. All of a sudden the lead light starts to fade and appears to change direction to the south so the light disappears. Seconds later the second light does the same. Just at that moment one car (the only car we saw that night) headed south on Roe stops and the two occupants asked if we just saw what they saw. They were excited like us and we talked for approx 30 seconds. They couldn't believe what they saw as well and had no explanation for the sighting. We all thought that what we saw was crazy, unbelievable and incredible!! I contacted the local FOX affiliate the next morning and they advised me that there were no other reports of sightings on Christmas night.

Saw bright lights moving slowly east to west over I-95. Thought why was a string of planes flying so low. Pulled over to shoulder and filmed them from car with cellphone.
Some flew out of sight and some had had lights go out.
Called my dad and mother who witnessed them from their home in Boynton Beach.

At approximately 10:30 PM on 12-25-11 my son came running into the family room urging my wife and I to look out the back of our house which faces West. We looked out and saw innumerable lights off in the distance moving from North to South along a relatively straight path. We proceeded out onto the deck and continued to observe these lights. As they moved to the South, they then appeared to head more West and appeared to climb and then disappear rather rapidly one by one. As we looked to the North, more lights continued to appear. This was a constant stream that we saw for at least 10 minutes, lights disappearing into the sky to the South and West and more lights appearing from the North. I would estimate that several hundred of these objects passed by during this time all taking the same path before turning to the West and up into the sky and disappearing. I had grabbed my cell phone on the way out to the deck and tried to record the objects but the quality is not great. In fact, some of the objects which I could see with the naked eye did not appear on the camera screen while others did. I am attaching the video clip. There are some Christmas lights from a few nearby houses along the bottom of the screen, not to be confused with the moving lights which appear much smaller. We could not make out any sound from these objects.

Report:
Five of us family members went outside for a smoke during our Christmas day dinner when one of us noticed what only can be desribed as a spherical candle flame moving silently across the sky. It was maybe the size of a car?, and close but moving slowly and no light change. It hovered briefly then continued. We saw it from a couple different angles as it moved and my son and nephew who are in their 20's said it looked like a mini hot air balloon, but we all concurred that was not the case as it moved in a straight line except for the occassional hovering. After it stopped and hovered for a second time it went in a 90* turn from a hover-stop and that's when we all looked at each other and really knew that was a UFO! I personally have had other encounters, but 2 of the others were totally non-believers of anything out of the ordinary and they were blown away by this. After it took off then it was gone and we went inside.

At approximately 8:30 to 8:40 p.m. on Dec. 25, 2011, I was standing and looking out at the sky from my ground floor apartment patio, talking on the phone. I saw a light grey, roundish, filmy substance moving toward me from the southeast, traveling northwesterly. The substance appeared to be unsolid - possibly gaseous. I had absolutely no idea what it could be as I had never seen anything like that before in my life. It grew larger as it approached and then took the shape of a craft. It was an oblong, six-sided craft with rounded ends. I saw a dull light grey and metallic-looking craft - my husband saw gray and black. It moved slowly, perhaps no more than 20 mph and no less than 10 mph. It moved very smoothly and as it continued to approach I noticed two appendages protruding from the closest end to me. They appeared to be something like very long antenas pointed downward. I was describing what I saw to the person I was talking to on the phone. Then I yelled for my husband to come out and he saw it as well. The craft moved steadily and was completely silent. There were no exterior lights. The end farthest from me had windows and they seemed to contain one small golden light in each window. I think there were 4-6 windows. The craft flew over the parking lot and was approximately 300-500 ft. in altitude and approximately 300 ft. away from me at the closest point. It was hard to tell how high it was or how far away but it was very, very close. My husband said he wished he would have had a flashlight to shine on it because it probably would have reflected. My husband saw geometric shapes on the outside bottom of the craft. This was not writing, but black, wide lines that appeared to be more for functionality. My husband ran into the apartment and out the front door and out through the back parking lot to watch it. I went out the front door straight to the west. The craft soon went back to the original shape of a roundish, unsolid object. I saw the craft for about 30 seconds - my husband saw it for about 10 seconds. During and after the sighting I felt very peaceful and loving. During the sighting I was also very excited and all I could say was, "Oh my God!", over and over again. This sighting was in Chandler, AZ.

Report:
At midnight on Christmas, 12/25/2011, my son and I decided to take our dog for a walk. We were walking south in the 13000 block of Roe in Leawood, KS. when we spotted two amber/orange lights approaching approx 30 degrees in the sky, as if they were from an aircraft. We thought the color was odd for an approaching aircraft. The lights were fairly close together and horizontal from one another. They then grew a little further apart and then became vertical in their positioning with one another, as if the craft was in a 90 degree banking position. We thought that wasn't possible if it was an aircraft. The lights then moved next to one another and stopped and hovered for about 15 seconds. At this point they were about 30 degrees off the horizon and made no sound. It was eerily quiet. We were stopped in our tracks in awe wondering what in the world we were experiencing!! It was definately not an airplane! Initially we thought it was one craft with two lights, but now we believe the lights are on two separate craft. At this time of night there is no traffic on the street at all. All of a sudden the lead light starts to fade and appears to change direction to the south so the light disappears. Seconds later the second light does the same. Just at that moment one car (the only car we saw that night) headed south on Roe stops and the two occupants asked if we just saw what they saw. They were excited like us and we talked for approx 30 seconds. They couldn't believe what they saw as well and had no explanation for the sighting. We all thought that what we saw was crazy, unbelievable and incredible!! I contacted the local FOX affiliate the next morning and they advised me that there were no other reports of sightings on Christmas night.

Driving north I-95 between Woolbright and Atlantic Ave exits near Delray Beach, FL.
Saw bright lights moving slowly east to west over I-95. Thought why was a string of planes flying so low. Pulled over to shoulder and filmed them from car with cellphone.
Some flew out of sight and some had had lights go out.
Called my dad and mother who witnessed them from their home in Boynton Beach.

1.In swamp buggy sitting with three(3) others looking out over marsh area having a smoke, enjoying the evening.
2.It was a new moon night with all the stars shinning:silhouetted against star field horizon was Southern boundary of an large ranch land. One could not help notice the East/West tree line of ranch lands Southern border as one gazed North from an oak island across 0ne(1) kilometer of marsh sandwiched between oak island and ranch.
3.The object was over ranch land when it started to black out the star-field distinguishing said East/West tree line!
4.As I noticed the 'blacked out' star field growing: it became obvious that an very large object was emerging from horizon getting larger as it headed directly toward my crew and myself! There was no other reason to think it was anything other than an U.F.O. dominating the sky!
5. Object was dark in detail as was the night, triangular in shape as it's silhouette blotted out star filled sky; traveling South by South East at approx. 3-4 knots per hr. at approx. 175ft.-250ft. in altitude!
6. My feeling reactions were cool,calm; yet mitigated by the reaction of the others with me as they began to notice themselves! I turned to my step son as he looked and I asked,"rube what the hell is that", not saying anything immediately I asked again,"rube what the ____ is that", GD john "I don't know"! I then turned to his uncle and friend in back seat asking "richard what the ____ is that", " I don't know GD it"; his friend started babbling as it was obvious that he could not handle this encounter we all were witnessing! My feeling in an 'nutshell' is and always will be; wow, lucky me, as this was not my only experience with rare events!
7. As object traveled over us I did my best to make out and observe every detail I could, not paying any mind to other three(3) with me; as object continued South by South East it fading in dark night sky revealing stars in all their glory as they were before being cloaked by one huge 'freakin' unidentified flying object!
That was that, but the very next day at Sunday family dinner I breached the subject with step-son,brother-in-law, present in front of credible family members; both concurring with my description of events night before! I might add that they were not too talkative concerning sighting!

I've listed below, some of the earliest recorded sightings of triangle-shaped UFOs, not counting the Belgium Flap in Europe. I've intentionally limited the sighting to those seen only in the U.S.
It has been speculated that Triangle UFOs are nothing more than secret military craft but that begs the question: Was our technology advanced enough for such craft in 1947?
I am not referring to ploddingly slow, blimp-like craft. I'm speaking of craft that can pivot on their axis and go from zero to thousands of miles per hour in the blink of an eye.

The craft was V shaped with an arodinamic body the thrust was in the form of the spectrum.
On a cloudy night I saw bright colored ligh trails through the clouds red was the dominant color,there was a large clear space in the clouds it appeared to be ten miles in lenght and about three miles across,Six triangular objects appeared out of the clouds they were in a V formation and trailing behind them was a long spectrum of light,they dove at a steep angle down and very low to the ground,In their dive the spectrum behind them begane to shorten and they slowed down.The craft passed before Me,and I was standing on a small hill able to see inside of the closest one It had a window about 4ft.by 3ft.and set back into the craft about 4" with a metalic frame,the inside was an off white with pure white lights iminating the inside ,on the far side and forward there was a smaller window in the same shape,rounded corners.The craft was black and despit its (V) shape frome below from the side view it had a very arodinamic shape, it had front windows that were very small and blacked out,it had no tail, the back one third was slanted down to where the particles came out of the back and the nose came to a blunt point,I felt as though I could put my hand over the blunt nose.The front windows came from the top of the craft and decended to the begenning of the nose.It passed by at a very fast speed a lot of what I saw was a blured but I did see a lot,it dissapeared behind some houses and I thought that it was going to crash,but they pulled up very steepely I got a glimpse of the top veiw but my young mind could not interpret the info. very well,the last thing I saw were the six craft linning up vertically and acending into the sky with their spectrums trailing behind them.I forgot to mention that the spectrum of the craft I was observing fell into particles straight down into the ground as it flew on.

I was one of a group of soldiers, sitting and lying in the grass, awaiting our turn to be processed for discharged. I lay on my back and looked straight up to see two triangular craft manuvering as if they were having an aerial dog fight. They would turn at sharp angles. The sky was very clear. They were so high they looked very small. After manuvering around for awhile overhead they went off in a straight line so fast they were gone within a second. This was a couple or three days before I was discharged on May 15, 1950.

This is the first time I ever reported this and curious if anything like it has been reported. Some years ago, standing in my backyard, I looked up an saw a triangular shaped object with a round cigar shaped bottom. The craft was a beautiful brillant blue. From the nose what appeared as an electrical charge started and snaked across the body of the craft. As it did the color from the nose bac changed to a beautiful green. When the charge stopped at the tail the entire object was green. Sparks or shrouds of light came from the back (approx. 30 ft long) The object lurched forward and disappeared in a few milliseconds. Anything like this reported before.
One object triangular in shape. Size approximately 100 feet long. Bottom of craft appeared rounded. Color at time of sighting: Light that was blue. Noticable change: An electrical color snaked or wormed through the body starting from what appeared to be the nose. As the light snaked through the color behind it changed to a beautiful green. At termination of electrical charge the entire color was green. Sparks or energy rods shot from the back of the object as it lurched slightly forward and then disappeared in a few miliseconds. We saw very close to us just above the trees a Dark-solid-Triangle it Red Globe glowing lights on each corner (triangle was 25-30ft equilateral in shape)
I am now 47, but at the time of the sighting I was 14 years of age and me and the neighborhood gang of four other kids (three of which were two brothers and one sister)were outside before we had to go in for the night looking for a Satellite that had been launched from Cape Canaveral that morning. It must have been around 8:00pm and it was just after dark and the weather was warm, clear sky, no clouds. Stars visible. I was the oldest and the ages of the other kids ranged down to about 8-9. We were in our own neighborhood and standing at the end of the street. Exact intersection address is N.W 42nd Ave. and N.W.9th Street The kids started yelling for me to look at some lights approaching us from the North. The first thing I saw was a soft red light approaching us thru the trees. And as it approached closer I could see two more red lights coming with it. My first thought was...what is that? As it came into the clear spot from behind the trees, the shape could be seen....a dark sharply outlined Equilateral Triangle with Three round-globe softly glowing blood-red lights, one on each corner where it would have come to a point if the lights were absent.It was Approximately 25-30 feet tip to tip each side although it could have been slightly larger.It was moving about 3-5mph...this I know because after we got a good look at it, we ran ahead of it in the same direction. The purpose of was to get my friends parents outside so they could see it too.they were only about seven houses down on the same street we were on (9th). And we were able to run ahead of this thing which was not too much higher that the trees... maybe 60ft up but less than 100ft. Well my friends parents Did witness this... But I will say this...I have never really understood their reaction to what we saw. The Father, who had been in the army and in Germany and tinkered with free-flight gas engine airplanes, saw this, and went back in the house and didnt say anything....I think he was spooked.... but when I asked him several times during the time after..even years after..he said He didnt know what it was, but would not discuss it... The Mother was spooked and didnt understand what she saw..now this is from my viewpoint of course... but I know how they acted at the time and remember it.But as far as my friends go, the two brothers and sister, They have all talked about it in the years since....we all know we saw something very strange. This machine, and it was a craft...was SILENT and if there was a sound, we didnt hear it.I could answer questions about this easier in person... because this typing is draining.. I have never been able to forget this experience. I was not afraid but really want to know the answer... I want to know if there was any other reports of this back in 1967 in Florida or elsewhere... and there is more to this story....something related happened 11 years later and about 60 miles away in Ocala National Forest.But this is too cumbersome here for me to say it all... I met Stanton Friedman in person here in Florida a few years back at White Springs and shared this with him, and Gave him a sketch of this that I made, but he had no information to share...he just thanked me for what I gave him... I lay on my back and looked straight up to see two triangular craft manuvering as if they were having an aerial dog fight. They would turn at sharp angles. The sky was very clear. They were so high they looked very small. After manuvering around for awhile overhead they went off in a straight line so fast they were gone within a second. This was a couple or three days before I was discharged on May 15, 1950.

We saw a "V" shaped U.F.O in the sky.
Me and my sister were playing by some railroad tracks during the afternoon when our mother called us in to eat.before we went in something told us to look to the sky.
when we looked up, we saw a "V" shaped U.F.O. in the sky.
We lived in the county side on a farm so we do not believe that this was a plane.
I can not remember anything else so that all.

This is the first time I ever reported this and curious if anything like it has been reported. Some years ago, standing in my backyard, I looked up an saw a triangular shaped object with a round cigar shaped bottom. The craft was a beautiful brillant blue. From the nose what appeared as an electrical charge started and snaked across the body of the craft. As it did the color from the nose bac changed to a beautiful green. When the charge stopped at the tail the entire object was green. Sparks or shrouds of light came from the back (approx. 30 ft long) The object lurched forward and disappeared in a few milliseconds. Anything like this reported before.
One object triangular in shape. Size approximately 100 feet long. Bottom of craft appeared rounded. Color at time of sighting: Light that was blue. Noticable change: An electrical color snaked or wormed through the body starting from what appeared to be the nose. As the light snaked through the color behind it changed to a beautiful green. At termination of electrical charge the entire color was green. Sparks or energy rods shot from the back of the object as it lurched slightly forward and then disappeared in a few miliseconds. We saw very close to us just above the trees a Dark-solid-Triangle it Red Globe glowing lights on each corner (triangle was 25-30ft equilateral in shape)
I am now 47, but at the time of the sighting I was 14 years of age and me and the neighborhood gang of four other kids (three of which were two brothers and one sister)were outside before we had to go in for the night looking for a Satellite that had been launched from Cape Canaveral that morning. It must have been around 8:00pm and it was just after dark and the weather was warm, clear sky, no clouds. Stars visible. I was the oldest and the ages of the other kids ranged down to about 8-9. We were in our own neighborhood and standing at the end of the street. Exact intersection address is N.W 42nd Ave. and N.W.9th Street The kids started yelling for me to look at some lights approaching us from the North. The first thing I saw was a soft red light approaching us thru the trees. And as it approached closer I could see two more red lights coming with it. My first thought was...what is that? As it came into the clear spot from behind the trees, the shape could be seen....a dark sharply outlined Equilateral Triangle with Three round-globe softly glowing blood-red lights, one on each corner where it would have come to a point if the lights were absent.It was Approximately 25-30 feet tip to tip each side although it could have been slightly larger.It was moving about 3-5mph...this I know because after we got a good look at it, we ran ahead of it in the same direction. The purpose of was to get my friends parents outside so they could see it too.they were only about seven houses down on the same street we were on (9th). And we were able to run ahead of this thing which was not too much higher that the trees... maybe 60ft up but less than 100ft. Well my friends parents Did witness this... But I will say this...I have never really understood their reaction to what we saw. The Father, who had been in the army and in Germany and tinkered with free-flight gas engine airplanes, saw this, and went back in the house and didnt say anything....I think he was spooked.... but when I asked him several times during the time after..even years after..he said He didnt know what it was, but would not discuss it... The Mother was spooked and didnt understand what she saw..now this is from my viewpoint of course... but I know how they acted at the time and remember it.But as far as my friends go, the two brothers and sister, They have all talked about it in the years since....we all know we saw something very strange. This machine, and it was a craft...was SILENT and if there was a sound, we didnt hear it.I could answer questions about this easier in person... because this typing is draining.. I have never been able to forget this experience. I was not afraid but really want to know the answer... I want to know if there was any other reports of this back in 1967 in Florida or elsewhere... and there is more to this story....something related happened 11 years later and about 60 miles away in Ocala National Forest.But this is too cumbersome here for me to say it all... I met Stanton Friedman in person here in Florida a few years back at White Springs and shared this with him, and Gave him a sketch of this that I made, but he had no information to share...he just thanked me for what I gave him... Last night I was surprised to see that the Tallahassee, FL, National Weather Service admitted that the returns on the radar were "military chaff", not rain. This area got bombarded on Monday and yesterday. See the second paragraph below.

What is this noise??? We thought for sure it was a Tornado, But it never changed it's position, and it lasted for well over 20 minutes or so... It was Soooo Loud, and it was shaking the house and the ground.
I called 911, They said they didnt know what it was, But that there were MANY calls coming in about the noise. They said they were sending patrols out to check it out...
There was a Flash of light that came from the same direction of the noise, then the noise just faded away. It was a relief obviously, I still thought it may have been a Tornado, But it also wasn't making any sense to me. We even put the kids in the bathtub and put a mattress over them just in case.
I called the News Station also, They told me it wasn't a Tornado, And that the police had told them to tell people it was an airplane revving it's engine at the airport. I live 4 miles from the airport, And I have lived here for 20 years, I have never heard an An airplane rev its engine at the airport, that was just insanity.
So when the noise was over, we drove down to the airport and stopped at a gas station nearby, They said they didnt hear anything. So it was not coming from that direction!
AND, on the 11 o'clock news that night, the weather man made a comment about all the calls that had come in about the noise, He said, Dont worry, It wasn't a Tornado, and it was confirmed that it WASN'T an Airplane, ALL You were hearing was THUNDER!!!..
If anyone has ever heard Thunder that was anything like that, Please let me know. It is just so Strange to me that the Stories kept changing.. Like we are stupid or something and dont know what Thunder sounds like.
Anyway, I Dont Know What it was.. But if you have any clue at all, Please do tell
Also, Very strange how after the Flash of light there was no thunder, the noise actually stopped.
Oh, and the NASA Space shuttle Discovery had already landed in south Florida about 5 hours earlier that day. It wouldn't have hovered for 20 minutes anyway, But just saying.

OK, first of all I had no idea this video was going to be this popular. Pretty exciting stuff. Anyways, there's alot of arguing on here about sound in space. Obviously sound needs a medium to pass through, to vibrate through so that it can carry the sound waves. Space has no air, and therefore cannot project sound in audible wave form. As it says in the description, these sounds are not from satellites zooming around the earth with a normal microphone. Sohpisticated instruments can detect the different sonic vibrations going on in the planet GENERALLY. So what you are hearing is not what it would be like if you just stuck an ear out the window of a space ship. First of all you would probably either die or go deaf in that ear for the rest of your life because of the pressure of the vaccum. What the remote sensors on the sattellite are doing is analyzing different radio frequencies coming off the surface of the earth and converting it into audible soundwaves for you and I to hear. So you're not hearing whales, you're not hearing cars or even wind. You're merely hearing the general frequencies of the Earth in an audible format.

Are those Earth sounds familiar? I thought so.
It is very suspect that the incident in Tallahassee, Florida was said due to aircraft at the airport. If that were so, then why hadn't the witnesses ever heard it before? And then for the weatherman to claim it was just thunder? That would have to be the longest roll of thunder ever recorded!
Truth be told, the so-called 'experts' don't have a clue.
